Meetings

The Emmet County Genealogical Society holds a monthly General Meeting at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday of every month (no meeting in December) at Bay Bluffs Medical Care Facility, 750 E. Main Street, Harbor Springs, MI unless otherwise noted.  Please join us, visitors are always welcome.

Announcements

The Alanson Area Public Library has cataloged the 200+ genealogy books that were donated to our society by Marcia K. Bourdeau and the estate of Lowel Kosloskey. We sincerely thank all involved for their help, assistance and time on this project.  Alanson  Area Public Library

The Harbor Springs Historical Society and History Museum has a genealogy section on their website. It has searchable database and is an ongoing project.  Harbor Springs Historical Society & Harbor Springs History Museum.

Greenwood Cemetery in Petoskey, MI now has a website with a genealogical lookup page where all of their burial and obituary records can be searched and printed.  A search there will return maiden names as well as last names.  A contact form is available on their website for persons wanting information. Volunteers Are Needed

Members are needed to help with the expansion of the Emmet County Genealogical Society and be on the Membership Committee.  This will be an ongoing project.  If you have an interest in being on this committee, please email: Janet Fettig Corresponding Secretary.
